What Christmas means to me is a touch of snow on every tree. A little bit of candy and a whole lot of cookies!
A nice warm rug underneath my bare feet, Christmas lights blinking and ice sickles glistening.
What Christmas means to me is food on the stove and little hands to hold, kisses on the cheek and gifts that are paper wrapped in gold.
Paper mache snowflakes that hang from a thread and the delightful smell of fresh baked cornbread.
Music on the radio being played nice and low, shadows dancing and kissing underneath the mistletoe.
Cuddling underneath a warm blanket and praying for the New Year, counting all your blessings from this past year.
Taking pictures and laughing without a care, reminiscing about the stories of Santa and his reindeers.
Thinking of the innocence of my youth which doesnt seem so long ago;remembering Santas HO, HO, HOs at the age of four.
Now since I am older and mature in my years I now know Christmas is about Jesus, and it was God who made the reindeers. Theyre not attached to a sleigh or flung in the air, but Jesus Christ was born and his gift of life should be in our prayers.
Not for a warm sweater or cash in a card, but for the gift of life who was born in a manger, so very far.
He was surrounded by animals and three Wiseman who believed that he was the newborn King!
What Christmas means to me is the warmth of simply knowing, that Jesus is the reason for the season, but that life is to be lived and people are to be loved, blessings are to be counted from up above, treating one another with kindness and concern, longing for patience and more Godly love.
Merry Christmas to my family, The Harringtons and Jacksons, my church, Home Mission Apostolic Church of God and to all of the readers may God Bless you all!
